Product traceability has become extremely important in the automotive industry, where the huge number of vehicle components come from various suppliers.

Keeping the enormous supply chain under control is extremely important to increase productivity and reduce costs. Therefore, automotive components carry an ID code, which can be a Barcode, Qrcode, or DataMatrix. These codes allow you to trace the manufacturer and the date and place of production of the component. In this way is much easier to manage any malfunctioning problems, thus reducing the risk of errors.

BOLN customized marking software generates all code-types, which comply with reference standards. We design custom software for interacting with the corporate database or line supervisor. Moreover, the software can be designed for automatic recall operations based on the read-marked code.

1.The whole marking and engraving system is completely made of welded, stretched and milled steel. This makes it possible to produce long-lasting structures, and guarantees great precision in the laser marking process, even in the event of accidental impacts or unnoticed shifts of the marker;

2.With a front pneumatic door, the machine is equipped with optical barriers that protect the operator when loading the component. Only when the door is fully closed, the laser will start. Finishing marking, the pneumatic door will open automatically;

3.Adopting advanced auto-focusing technology, the marking software can automatically record every product’s focus parameters. When changing different products, the equipment can adjust focus automatically without manual operation;

4.In addition to increasing productivity, the client also wanted to be able to check the quality the DataMatrix marking. This is why we integrated a KEYENCE code reader under the laser head, which offers a very wide view, perfect for re-reading the 2D codes (DMX, QR) as well as for centring the marking on smaller items;

5.Our customised software allows you to immediately see the degree of marking and the quality of the work on the monitor.
